Publisher Notes: February/March 2021

Everyone loves a wedding! It’s a magical time for a new couple, beginning their life together surrounded by those who love them the most. The setting – whether it’s a church, outside, or in a home – is filled with contagious joy and warmth. In a year filled with a pandemic, struggle and heartbreak, it is refreshing and heartwarming to celebrate new beginnings.

In this issue, we share the stories of several local couples that tied the knot in 2020 amidst the chaos. Some couples were able to have the wedding of their dreams and others had to alter their plans. Regardless, the outcome equals wedded bliss. We also introduce the latest trends in the wedding industry and highlight some extremely talented wedding planners. So if you’re recently engaged or planning to get married in 2021, this is the issue for you!

Here at Augusta Magazine, we have another reason to celebrate. We welcomed Hailea Boykin, a recent graduate of Central Washington University in Washington state, to our staff. Hailea has been working as an editorial intern since the early fall 2020 and has now joined us as an associate editor. We are extremely excited to have her as a part of our team and to share her talents with you, our readers.
