Garden Pairings

Photos by Jane Kortright

May showers and Nikko Blue hydrangeas. Picnic baskets and Southern deviled eggs. Sunday mimosas and maple French toast. Some matches are made in heaven and for the season’s trend on ultimate outdoor entertaining, we bring a fresh twist to the casual garden party ensemble.

Bountiful blooms and fuss-free linens accompany colorful glassware at Southern garden gatherings, but there is one sophisticated way to elevate the look: party host jewelry.

Running the fashion from table settings to matching earrings, necklaces, or bracelets allows the host to complete her total design. While soft linen napkins accompany chartreuse toile or Egyptian blue tablecloths to create hospitality, an ideal party-giver can continue the warm welcome with personalized jewelry in pastel opals, midnight blues, or amber yellows.

Meadow Aiken, a thoughtful gifts boutique in Aiken, has a line of flattering jewelry to accentuate the whims of any outdoor entertainer. The La Vie Parisienne by Catherine Popesco collection is hand-set jewelry originating in old Parisian workshops established 200 years ago. Vintage pieces are rendered from original molds and stampings created by jewelry artists of the 1900-1930s. Replicated from French artisan techniques, the delicate ensembles create an heirloom-worthy collection that is affordable, eye-catching and brilliantly displayed in the natural light of the noon sun.
