A Wedding at Aiken’s Crossways

“Our first look was pretty special and emotional,” Caitlin said. “It was just the two of us in Hopelands, which is incredibly beautiful. I also really loved our reception. The weather was amazing, the band was phenomenal and we just took it all in.”

• The couple, both from Georgia, was one of the last couples to marry at Aiken’s Crossways. Once a wedding venue owned by The Willcox, it is now a private residence.

A custom illustration timeline of their relationship from the time they met in Washington, D.C., until they married in Aiken was on display at the event.

• The groom’s cake was another personal touch. Caitlin wanted to pay tribute to her future husband and the parts of his life that meant so much. Each tier represented a different part of his life – a graduate of The Citadel, his service in the Army Reserves and his career in law enforcement.
