Celebrate National Margarita Day with these Spicy and Sweet Cocktails

Grab your white platform shoes and do your best Pee Wee Herman dance, February 22 is National Margarita Day. We’ve pulled together some great cocktail recipes to help you celebrate. Tequila!

PATRÓN St-Rita

1 oz. St. Germain 
1.5 oz. PATRÓN Silver
0.75 oz. fresh lime juice 
Optional salt rim

Add all ingredients into a shaker and shake. Pour over ice in a rocks glass.

1 oz. PATRÓN Silver
1 oz. St. Germain
0.75 oz. hibiscus tea
0.75 oz. beet juice 
0. 50 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all ingredients and shake well. Strain into a chilled coupe and top with Salted Rose Air:

Salted Rose Air (optional)

4 oz. water
2 oz. fresh lime juice
1.5 oz. tsp. Sucro
1.5 tsp. Maldon salt
0.50 tsp. rose water

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Using an immersion blender or hand blender, mix until bubbles form. Carefully spoon on top of the drink.

1.5 oz. PATRÓN Reposado 
0.5 oz. Orgeat 
0.75 oz. lime juice 
0.5 oz. St. Germain
0.75 oz charred pineapple juice 
7-8 leaves of pineapple mint
Pinch of salt 

Shake all ingredients with cubed ice quickly 4-5 seconds. Fine strain over crushed ice in rocks or Collins glass. Garnish with large sprig of pineapple mint and lemon verbena, wedge of charred pineapple if desired.

Charred pineapple instructions:

Cut whole pineapple into spears, omitting the tough center piece. Grill on open flame or in grill pan for 5 minutes, flip or rotate and char opposite side for 5 minutes. Remove from heat, blend and strain.

1.5 oz. Corralejo Blanco Tequila
0.75 oz. Dekuyper Amaretto
0.75 oz. Liber & Co. Pineapple Gum Syrup
1 oz. pineapple juice
0.5 oz. fresh lime juice

Add all ingredients to shaker tin. Add ice. Shake for 10 seconds. Strain into ice-filled double old-fashioned glass.

1.5 oz. Partida Blanco
0.25 oz. mezcal
0.75 oz. strawberry cordial
0.75 oz. watermelon juice
0.75 oz. lime juice
0.25 oz. Jerk spiced agave

Shaken, then served on the rocks with a jerk spiced rim.

1.5 oz. Tequila Cazadores Blanco
0.5 oz. premium triple sec
0.5 oz. agave nectar
1 oz. lime juice

In a cocktail shaker with ice combine all the ingredients, shake and serve over the rocks in glass. Garnish with lime and salt optional.

1.5 oz. Tequila Cazadores Blanco
0.5 oz. premium triple sec
0.5 oz. agave nectar
1 oz. lime juice

In a cocktail shaker with ice combine all the ingredients, shake and serve over the rocks in glass. Garnish with lime and salt (optional).

1.5 oz. Tequila Cazadores Blanco
0.5 oz. premium triple sec
0.5 oz. agave nectar
1 oz. lime juice

In a cocktail shaker with ice combine all the ingredients, shake and serve over the rocks in glass. Garnish with lime and salt optional.

2 oz. Infused Avion Blanco and Tanteo Jalapeño
1 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. Cointreau liqueur
0.5 oz. agave nectar
Tanteo salt
Fresh jalapeño

Combine tequila, lime juice, Cointreau and agave. Shake hard in a cocktail shaker with ice and pour into a martini glass with Tanteo salt rim. Garnish with fresh jalapeño.

2 oz. Alipus mezcal
0.5 oz. tamarind paste
0.5 oz. Canela agave
0.75 oz. lime juice
1 dash Angostura bitters
Garnish: double ginger candy and lime wheel

Coat the rim of a rocks glass with salt. Fill with ice and set aside. Add the remaining ingredients to a shaker. Fill with fresh ice. Shake and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and double ginger candy.

2 oz. Código 1530 Rosa Tequila
1.5 oz. lime juice
0.5 oz agave nectar
Handful of raspberries
Handful of blueberries
Soda water

Muddle berries in a shaker with lime Juice. Fill with ice, add tequila and agave. Shake vigorously and pour everything into a glass. Top with soda water and garnish with berries.

2oz. Código 1530 Rosa Tequila
1 oz lime Juice
1 oz. agave nectar

Shake and strain. Pour over fresh ice with a lime garnish and optional lavender.

2 oz. Código 1530 Rosa Tequila
3 oz. pressed watermelon juice
0.75 oz. lime juice
0.25 oz agave nectar

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the watermelon juice, tequila, lime juice and agave nectar. Shake for 30 seconds. Garnish glass with watermelon slices.

1.5 oz. blanco tequila
0.5 oz. elderflower liqueur
1 oz. lime juice
1.5 oz. pineapple juice
2 cucumber slices
Garnish: cucumber slice, lychee, tajin rim

Muddle 2 cucumber slices in mixing tin. Combine blanco tequila, elderflower liqueur, lime juice and pineapple juice in mixing tin. Add ice and shake well. Half rim a rocks glass with tajin and pour cocktail into glass. Garnish with lychee and cucumber slice.
