Augusta has its very own (manmade) salt cave in its backyard, and it’s the best place in town to feel at one with yourself again.
The moment you enter Sol Himalayan Salt Cave & Spa, you’ll feel the stressors start to melt away. The tranquil environment starts at check-in, which couldn’t be easier, then you’re off to the locker room, where you can securely store your belongings. Be sure to stow any electronics—after turning them off so they’re not disruptive—before heading into your salt cave or spa experience.
Once you’re inside the cave, you’ll feel like you can breathe deeper than ever before. In fact, it seems to remedy whatever ails you, whether it be hip problems or fibromyalgia, anxiety or snoring. The cave accommodates up to eight people at a time, and you can choose to lie on a blanket on the floor, a recliner or anti-gravity chair.

Lovely features include a fireplace made of salt blocks, a babbling water fountain and soft lighting. Extra pillows and blankets are available for those who want to get even more cozy. And for a mere $2.50, you can purchase a self-warming eye mask.
Salt cave sessions last 45 minutes and are available in public ($25 per person) or private ($35 per person) group settings. As in all spa settings, guests are asked to refrain from talking so all can better enjoy the rejuvenating experience.
Sol also has a full day-spa menu, with salt stone and salt scrub massages, facials, a full-spectrum infrared sauna and a halotherapy kids room. Inside the Japanese garden-inspired Zen Room, you’ll find treatments such as detox foot soaks and Vital motion humming board therapy.
Sol is open 7 days a week; call 706.364.7958 for more information and to book an appointment.
