There’s a new luggage brand on the market, and it’s got a great pedigree: ROAM‘s executives count Tumi and Bloomingdales on their resumes, and indeed, it makes for a fashionable and well-built product.

Just as years ago luggage-makers were trying to get travelers on board with an all-black trend, today the key is individuality—and ROAM’s customers are building their own bespoke looks one backpack and roller bag at a time.

November 2021 saw the launch of ROAM’s Cool World Collection, a line of backpacks with thoughtful features that make its pieces the perfect fit for busy lifestyles. Each of the three models come with a wealth of zippered compartments, space for laptops and water bottles, foam-padded straps and so much more.

The brand launched with its durable and aesthetically-pleasing luggage line earlier in 2021.

If the aesthetics and commitment to sustainability—fabrics are made from recycled and eco-friendly materials—weren’t enough, the color palette is; customize a Downtown ($275), Metropolitan ($295) and/or Continental ($350) backpack in eye-pleasing shades of Rio Fire, Kyoto Black, Cornwall Slate and Venetian Green (your new neutral, perhaps?).

Once you’ve crafted your custom backpack, it takes ROAM about 10 days to make the item and ship it out to you. Worried you may not like the color combination you’ve chosen? Don’t fret, you have 100 days to give your new creation a spin.
