Publisher Notes: May 2021

Who doesn’t love to sneak a peek into someone else’s home? I absolutely love it! It’s one of the best things about my job.

Every year I look forward to sharing some of the area’s best homes and gardens with our readers. This year proved a bit more challenging due to the pandemic, and understandably so. A special thank you to Karen and Steve Foushee for inviting us into their backyard, to Regina Edry for sharing her homes with us and to the James family for allowing us to feature their new North Augusta farmhouse.  We sincerely appreciate your willingness to share with our readers and your hospitality!

In this issue we also reveal our readers’ top picks in our annual Best of Home awards. These businesses are the “go-to” folks in the respective categories. So, if you find yourself in need of new furniture, appliances, HVAC or perhaps a total remodel, we hope you’ll give these businesses a call … they’ve been voted the best!

Finally, I wanted to welcome everyone to Augusta Magazine’s Front Porch – our very own podcast. We have been discussing the possiblilty of a podcast for a couple of years and we actually made it happen! So if you want to get to know us better and find out what happens “behind the scenes” at the magazine, then come sit a spell and join us on the front porch. Episode 1 is now available on augustamagazine.com!
