Publisher Notes: April 2021

What a difference a year makes! After a year of uncertainty and fear for many, it appears we are gaining ground on a return to some sense of “normal.” I have always looked forward to spring. It’s a time of renewal, an emergence if you will.

Spring in Augusta is special. For most businesses, and residents alike, the first full week of April sustains them the remaining 51 weeks of the year.  I realize the 2021 Masters Tournament will not look like those of the past. But it is a huge step to a victorious return! And make no mistake, brighter days are definitely on the horizon.

The azaleas will soon be in full bloom and our streets will be filled with visitors. We will once again roll out the welcome mat for our guests and don our best Southern hospitality, for which we have become famous.

Augusta has shown tremendous courage in the face of adversity. We have weathered the storm. Now, our city and her residents will take the stage for the entire golf world to see, and I for one could not be prouder!
