Publisher Notes: November/December 2019

Tis the season! It’s the most wonderfully hectic time of the year. Shopping, parties, decorating and baking are just a few of the items most of us will try to squeeze in.

Every year I wonder how we got here so quickly! It seems like 2019 has just flown by, doesn’t it? As a child I remember how the year seemed endless, and that the holidays never came fast enough. The anticipation of waiting for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve was brutal. Bedtime was never welcomed in our household, except on Christmas Eve.

My brother, sister and I would eagerly rush off to bed, only to awaken at some ridiculously early hour to see what Santa had brought. It was such a magical time. As an adult, I still await Christmas morning with the same sense of wonder – now as a parent, watching my daughter experience Christmas as I did.

I hope this holiday season is a time of reflection and joy for you as well. Thank you for another year of support for our community and Augusta Magazine. We wish you and your family all the best during this holiday season and look forward to a new year!
