The
Game Breakers
When you're cheering for your favorite high school football
team from the stands, you usually don't have the opportunity to
get as personal as you'd like. Well, here's your chance
to get to know a dozen of Augusta's top players.

High school football is big in these parts. Even if you don't like most
other sports, chances are you at least follow this one. There's just something
special about a group of young guys giving their al - risking much of
it, battling it out on the gridiron. They aren't getting paid, they're
not arriving at the stadium in luxury cars surrounded by flashing cameras
(though for a select few this may be in their future). They do it for
the love of the game, for the pride of the school. And folks come out
each Friday night - make that Football Friday Night - to follow their
favorite local team. Then they pick up The Augusta Chronicle
first thing Saturday morning for the detailed results.
But there's more to football season than those three months that kick
off the school year and usher in the fall. These dedicated teenagers think
about football during the winter, work out in the spring, practice throughout
the summer. And this summer, Augusta Magazine got in on the fun,
the craze, the action - to bring you The Game Breakers.
